1. Dangal

Dangal is a 2016 Indian biographical sports drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures. It stars Aamir Khan as Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari in rural Haryana, India during 1977–1984. The film tells their story from childhood to adulthood with incidents from their lives interspersed throughout the movie. The script was written by Vicky Chandhok, Rajkumar Hirani (writer), Apoorva Mehta (screenplay), Raju Hirani (screenwriter) and Abhishek Chaubey.[6]

2. PK

  • PK is a 2014 Indian satirical science fiction comedy film directed by Rajkumar Hirani and written by Hirani and Abhijat Joshi. The film is produced by Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Siddharth Roy Kapur. It features an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arshad Warsi in lead roles; with Priyanka Chopra playing the role of Anil's wife Paro, Parmish Verma as Govinda Bhalla's father Bauua Singh (known as "Gopi"), Rishi Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt's father Mr Kaur, Ritesh Deshmukh as Amitabh Bachchan's brother Aryan Banerjee (known as "Aryan"), Kangana Ranaut as Vidya Balan's sister Rutvi Kaur (known as "Rutvi").

The story revolves around two boys--one named PK or Pkumar Gill (played by Anil Kapoor) who can see into another dimension called afterlife through black magic while his friend Sidhu(played by Ranveer Singh) is born without any special powers whatsoever but has been shown using some kind of martial arts skills during their childhood/teenage years before they reach adulthood together later on in life when they start working together professionally under the same roof at a company called H2O Incorporated based out of Mumbai India where they have offices located there too along with other employees such as Mr Suman Lakhia who works closely alongside them both during their daily commutes back home after working hours end each day until closing time comes around midnight every night which means job security comes first before anything else does...

3. Bajrangi Bhaijaan

  • Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a 2015 Indian family drama film directed by Kabir Khan, starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma. It tells the story of an eight-year-old Pakistani girl who travels to India in search of her mother.
  • The film received a wide release on Eid al-Adha week in 2015.[1] It became one of the highest grossing Indian films at box office with over ₹200 crore (US$30 million) collected worldwide after its theatrical run ended.[2][3][4] The film won several awards including Best Film at 55th National Film Awards,[5] Best Actor for Salman Khan at 59th Filmfare Awards,[6] Best Direction for Kabir Khan at 61st Zee Cine Award's South awards,[7] as well as Best Director for Kabir Khan.[8][9][10].

4. 3 idiots

Starring Aamir Khan, the movie was directed by Rajkumar Hirani and released in 2009. The story revolves around four students who go to college for the first time and learn about life in general, as well as themselves. It was a huge success at the box office and has been seen by many as one of Aamir's best performances.

5. Sanju

Sanju is a biopic of actor Sanjay Dutt, who was born to film actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt. The film chronicles the life of the actor from his early days as an actor in Mumbai to his later years when he became involved in controversies surrounding money laundering and corruption charges which led to him spending time behind bars for six years.

The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt, who plays himself in many scenes throughout this movie along with Anushka Sharma playing Nargis Dutt (Sanjay's mother).

6. Secret Superstar

Secret Superstar is a 2017 Indian musical drama film directed by Advait Chandan and written by Prateek Sharma, Piyush Mishra and Paresh Rawal. The film stars Zaira Wasim, Meher Vij, Aamir Khan, Rajkummar Rao and Divya Dutta in lead roles. It is based on the life story of Geeta Dutt (1937 – 1978), who became an international sensation as playback singer during the 1960s.[1][2][3]

The film received positive reviews from critics but failed to meet financial expectations at box office.[4] It won multiple awards including Best Film at Filmfare Awards 2018.[5][6]

7. Sultan

Sultan is a sports drama film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma. It was released on 6 July 2016.

The film begins with a woman named Rani (Anushka Sharma) who has been cheated out of her inheritance by her uncle and cousin, who have taken over their father's business empire. She decides to take revenge on them by becoming impregnated with their child so that she can give birth to a son who will become the next king of their country.

8. M.S Dhoni

If you’re a cricket fan, this movie is for you. M.S Dhoni is based on the life of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and was released in 2016. The film was directed by Neeraj Pandey and stars Sushant Singh Rajput as the titular character.

It has grossed $84.5 million worldwide since its release, making it one of India's most successful films ever made!

9. kabir singh

Kabir Singh is a 2015 Hindi-language biographical film directed by Anurag Kashyap. The film is based on the life of real-life Indian terrorist, Kalyan Singh,[1] who was convicted for terrorism and sentenced to death before being acquitted on appeal.[2][3] It stars Rajkummar Rao in the title role as Kabir Singh, alongside Divya Dutta and Emraan Hashmi as other members of his family. It was released on 7 December 2015 to positive reviews with critics praising its performances by all three leads.[4][5][6]

10. Bajirao Mastani

Bajirao Mastani is a 2015 Indian epic historical drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and written by Abhishek Verma. It features Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles with Priyanka Chopra, Jim Sarbh and Anupam Kher playing supporting roles. The film is based on the life of Peshwa Bajirao I (1674–1730), who played an important role in the Maratha Empire during its expansion under his rule. The plot revolves around him being sent on a mission to defeat Ibrahim Adil Shah II (1656–1680).
