Biography - Dhirubhai Ambani

Dhirubhai Ambani was an Indian businessman and founder of Reliance Industries, one of India's largest conglomerates. He is considered one of India's most prominent and successful entrepreneurs, and is often referred to as the "King of Indian Industry."

Ambani was born on December 28, 1932, in Chorwad, Gujarat, India. He came from a humble background, and his father was a school teacher. Despite limited resources, Ambani was determined to succeed, and he began his career as a clerk in a local oil company.

In 1958, Ambani decided to start his own business, and with a small investment, he began importing polyester yarn and selling it in India. This proved to be a successful venture, and Ambani quickly expanded his business to include other products, such as textiles, plastics, and chemicals.

In 1977, Ambani founded Reliance Industries, which would go on to become one of India's largest and most successful companies. The company's primary focus was on textiles, but it also expanded into other areas such as petrochemicals, telecommunications, and energy.

Ambani was known for his business acumen and his ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities. He also had a reputation for being a tough negotiator
